The Object of the Society is to provide an organization in which graduates and former cadets of the US Military Academy may continue their association, and through which they may cooperate in social, civic and service projects to promote the principles and welfare of their Alma Mater and its graduates.
Atlanta is home to more than 1,500 Constituents strong including approximately 1,000 Graduates, plus another 200 or so parents of current and past cadets, as well as “Friends of West Point.” Founded over 60 years ago, the Society has received the coveted Distinguished Society honor for each year since the West Point Association of Graduated (AOG) has evaluated its’ now 100+ Societies world-wide and began awarding that honor.
We are a not-for-profit, non-politically-oriented 501(c)(3) organization which focuses on fellowship of graduates and supporting admissions of area High School students to the West Point Prep School and the United States Military Academy at West Point.
There are more than 30 graduates and volunteers across Georgia serving in the West Point Admissions Field Force (FF), assisting the Admissions Office in its mission. In the 14 U.S. Congressional Districts in GA, the team has enabled between 50 to 65 young people, each year to receive appointments to West Point, or admission to USMAPS and AOG funded Civilian Preps Schools.
